Togetherness Postnatal Group - for families living in Leicester City with a baby aged 0-6 months

Togetherness (previously known as the Solihull Approach) is a gentle, relationship-focused programme designed to support parents and babies during the first six months of life. Rather than offering a set of rules or techniques, Togetherness helps parents understand their baby’s emotional world and how early relationships shape development.

The programme explores how babies communicate through behaviour such as crying, sleep and feeding, and supports parents to respond sensitively and confidently. It focuses on early brain development, emotional regulation and the “dance of reciprocity” — the back-and-forth interactions between parent and baby that build connection and security.

Togetherness also encourages reflective thinking, helping parents notice and make sense of their own feelings as well as their baby’s. By strengthening understanding, connection and emotional wellbeing, the programme supports parents to build strong, secure relationships from the very start.

The group meets weekly, in person , for 6 weeks. Groups will be held in a variety of Family Hubs locations across the City throughout the year, and baby is welcome too!
