Best Start for Life Project Workers - 37 hour posts
We are seeking a project worker with the skills, knowledge and passion for supporting parents, young people and children through group work programmes and other strategies.
Initially working as part of a multi-agency collaborative pilot project (running until end of March 2025), you will be supporting families during their infant’s first 1001 critical days. Applicants will:
On completion of the Best Start for Life project, workers will then work across the full range of Heads Up Leicester's services including working with parents and children/young people with a focus on mental health.
Office base at The Grove, Cort Crescent, Braunstone, Leicester LE3 1QZ. Access to a vehicle is essential as post holders will be delivering services in various parts of Leicester City.

- Annual Salary £24, 496 - £26, 845 pro rata dependent on experience
We are seeking a project worker with the skills, knowledge and passion for supporting parents, young people and children through group work programmes and other strategies.
Initially working as part of a multi-agency collaborative pilot project (running until end of March 2025), you will be supporting families during their infant’s first 1001 critical days. Applicants will:
- have knowledge of key antenatal messages and group work delivery skills in order to deliver the Bumps to Babies programme
- be able to effectively engage with, empower and signpost parents via a telephone support service
- have the skills to deliver warm, inviting and supportive therapeutic playgroups for families, role modelling effective play and communication with babies and preschool children
