Project Worker - 2 posts 

Between 30 – 37 hours available – preference to be discussed at interview  

​Annual Salary £28,598 - £31,022 per annum (pro rata if part time)

Heads Up Leicester are seeking individuals with skills, knowledge and a passion for supporting families through life’s challenges. We deliver a wide range of services including Antenatal Education groups, Baby and Toddler groups, Parenting support for Early Years and Young People, Young People’s Mental Health groups, ADHD parent/carer support and community engagement projects.  

Applicants will have the skills to deliver warm, inviting and supportive groupwork for families, children and young people. In this varied role, those skills will include: 
  • knowledge and understanding of key antenatal messages and/or mental health and neurodiversity 
  • excellent communication skills to effectively engage with, empower and signpost parents in person and the telephone 
  • role modelling effective play and communication with babies and preschool children 
  • delivering support programmes to young people and parents/carers in an effective and engaging way 
  • being comfortable speaking to people about their experiences as part of community consultation and engagement activities 
 
Our Office base is The Grove, Cort Crescent, Braunstone, Leicester LE3 1QZ. Access to a vehicle is essential as post holders will be delivering services in various parts of Leicester City, Leicestershire County and Rutland. To meet the needs of the families we support, our projects are delivered at various times during the day, with some evening and Saturday morning working included.
