Worry Time is an evidenced based CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) tool which is effective in helping you to manage worry in a practical way. Worry Time will help you to:
- Work out which worries are practical (that you can do something about) or hypothetical (what if XYZ happened?) and give you ways of managing both types of worry
- Stop worries taking over your thoughts at inappropriate times, or making it hard to sleep or concentrate on other things
- Teach you some easy to remember distraction techniques
- Follow a process for managing your worries which will eventually mean worries reduce and become less of a problem for you.
Online Worry Time Tool
In many of our workshops, groups or sessions with our Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, we will talk about how to do Worry Time. We have developed an online tool which takes you through Worry Time step by step to make it easier to do. You can follow Worry Time from start to finish or choose the bit you want help with and just do that. Give it a go!
