Our Positive Minds Grounded programme is specifically targeted towards young people between 11-16 who are experiencing mental ill-health and / or social, emotional or behavioural difficulties.
The core of the programme is based on our Grounded programme but group members will also have the opportunity to explore the affects of poor mental health.
This 8 session group programme covers some of the topics covered in our ‘Grounded’ programme but also include topics relating to understanding and promoting positive mental health, specifically targeted towards young people who are struggling with maintaining their positive mental health (e.g. their behaviour is affected by anxiety, depression, stress etc.) which is affecting their relationships with others and how they feel about themselves. - Develop an understanding of and skills in coping with their feelings (especially anger/anxiety/low mood), understanding how these affect their behaviour and making changes to reduce their stress.
- Improve their relationships and communication with other adults and peers both inside and outside the home.
- Find ways to resolve conflict positively and/or manage emotions better.
